Chop It Up Barbershop

I hardly ever leave reviews but this place left a lasting impression. I took my little dude (6) to get his hair cut for back to school. He always likes going to “big boy barbershops”. We’ve been to a few in snohomish county but I think we found the one to go to from now on. My son sat in Nick’s chair, I believe he is the owner, and he was so good with him. The whole place was a vibe. What made this experience worth leaving a review was because every minute was pleasant and we got the best customer service. The courtesy and kindness was seen. When the music changed and a song came on that was just slightly explicit, Nick quickly noticed and changed it immediately. That attention to detail not only in his work but also the comfort of his customers and appropriate responses like this shows genuine care for others and of a young customer. Mind you, I don’t shelter my son but that level of consideration for others is top shelf human decency. We chatted about jobs and he mentioned he’s opening another location and talked about his family and just sounds like a really good man trying to make a great business. Definitely go support him, his business and the other talented and very kind barbers there. We will absolutely return. But make sure to make a reservation cus they were busy when we went and rightfully so!

This is my son’s favorite barbershop, he absolutely adores Nick and Nick has never let him down. My son’s incredibly fidgety but Nick engages with him and really makes it his favorite place to go. My sons hair is really light blonde and he always asks for some super intricate design as well

Been going to Kanbar for a minute now and he’s always solid. He takes his time, makes sure everything looks right, and somehow always remembers my cut. Super consistent and never had a bad experience.
