If you’ve ever shopped for custom window coverings, you already know the industry can be ruthless. I spoke with what felt like every shade company in the Seattle area, easily 15 or more, and quickly discovered that most companies only want to install the products they sell. The moment I mentioned third-party shades, 20+ foot ceilings, and a loft that required some actual problem-solving, the conversations got very short.
