These guys installed the in floor heating system in my house. 10 months later is started making a funny noise. I called the owner and he said the pump just needed to be reset. I unplugged it and reset it and the noise went away for about 2 months, which was all the time he needed for the pump to be out of warranty. Because when the noise returned and I called him to come out and diagnose it he immediately walked in and said the pump was no good and needed to be replaced. When I pointed out that he had installed the original and diagnosed the same issue 2 months ago he shrugged. When I pointed out that Washington State law requires him to warranty his work for 2 years, he sent me a $400 bill for a service call. Do not trust these people!! If I could give one start I would

Highly skilled, Alex does the kind of work you want to take a photo of, borderline artistic. Top of the line install that you can have total confidence in. Friendly efficient office staff too.

We recently bought a house that someone had started a radiant heat flooring project in. The EarthHeat team came out. They tested the worked cleaned everything up. They put in the heat pump and all the thermostats. The work was very neat, done early, and they followed up testing the system.During the work they also made recommendations on how to set up different parts of it. I really appreciated their insight. I highly recommend them.Service: Heating system installation

Installed a residential geothermal heat pump. They made multiple errors with the installation, were slow to respond and unable to fix the problems. In the end, after nine months of problems, I had to get a different contractor out to fix up the mess. On the positive side, the drilling contractor they organized for us seemed to do a good job.Service: Heating system installation

We had a fantastic experience with a recent install of a new geothermal system by Earthheat. Being new to the geothermal technology, I had a great initial conversation with the owner, Gerard. He was super helpful answering all my questions and came out a few days later to do a site assessment of my property to make sure it was suitable for a geothermal install. Gerard and his crew did a fantastic job during the install and made sure we were kept in loop of the progress/timeline. They were detail-oriented and even helped fix a couple of issues with my existing ducting during the install which was greatly appreciated. It's been a few weeks now since our geothermal install and it is working better than I could have imagined. Gerard himself has even called a couple times since install to follow-up to ensure it's working great. Hands down, great customer service and experience! If you are even considering a geothermal install, be sure to reach out to the outstanding folks at Earthheat!

We had a Geothermal System installed by EarthHeat a little over 2 years ago. We were interested in reducing our power useage and adding Air Conditioning to our house. The system has worked very well. Comparing to the previous 3 years, and subtracting out the normal baseload (lights, stove etc) - Our annual heating costs have dropped from an average total of 1150$ (12.5MWh) annually to about 500$ (4.4MWh) annually. Our Winter bills routinely topped 350$ a month, now they rarely hit 180$We run the house at least 5 degrees warmer because it's almost free. We now leave the system on year round so we always have heat. We used to wait as long as possible to fire up the old forced air system. We don't need to use the woodstove on really cold days anymore.Plus, the Air conditioning is basically free to run. Costs a couple dollars a month when needed.Service: Heating system installation

Earthheat has gone from top-notch winner in my book to big fat l***** They installed my new gas water heater a year ago, and to great avail, so of course that is who I called to do a furnace maintenance call prior to winter. I scheduled an appointment, which was confirmed by Jessica in the office. A week later I got a "confirmation of appointment" reminder email by Jessica. The very next day, I got another email stating "we are not taking any new service calls", recommending a different company. Now this is a Friday, with the scheduled appointment on Monday. After several additional emails and a phone call, Gerard the owner piped in with his apologies that they have never been this busy but somehow they would "fit me in". So Cenobio, the technician, showed up on time Monday and found several things that needed repair, most importantly some of the duct that if not fixed may release carbon monoxide into the living space. Not only, the motor responsible for air movement was making sounds that could result in failure, and if failed would leave us without heat for up to 2-weeks as "these parts are hard to get". Cenobio said he would write up the repair recommendations and they would be sent to me with the invoice. I waited a week, didn't hear anything so I called Jessica in the office. She said she would check on it. November 6th, I received an email from Jessica, and I quote "There will be no charge for coming to look at your unit. However we are extremely busy and not accepting any new work at this time. I am sorry that we could not help you further". To which I replied: "Jessica I must say I am very disappointed with the entire process I have been through with Earthheat. I was thrilled with the service I received with the hot water heater install last year and have recommended your company to many local friends and family. But the communication and responses I have received for this transaction have left me scratching my head. I get it. You are busy and don't want my business. Perfect. I can accommodate. But your technician made several recommendations that if left undone could leave me without heat and potentially breathing dangerous fumes - exhaust issues. And a motor or compressor that is making weird noises and should be replaced. Your technician said he would send these recommendations to me via email. I would appreciate if you met your commitments". Gerard the Owner now replied and I quote: "Hello Rick, I'm very sorry for the lack of communication on our behalf. We have never been so busy. I will get with Cenobio who came out to get a Much better understanding of the issues you are facing. I will also honor the continued service though we are not currently taking on new service type work as it was explained. I will be back in touch Monday morning after speaking with Cenobio". That was November 6 2020, and the last I heard from Earthheat. My takeaway: They are busy and don't have time to meet simple commitments to simple consumers. And as stated earlier, I will accommodate and so should you.
