About Alpine Heating And Cooling
Alpine Heating And Cooling, founded by Gary Kirkendall in 2003, is a Skagit County-based business specializing in HVAC-R sales, service, and installations for both residential and commercial clients. They are known for their expertise in custom HVAC projects, ranging from basic furnace replacements to designing and installing complex water chiller systems. As a full general contractor, Alpine Heating And Cooling can handle full turn-key projects. The team, including Gary, Jimm, and Trevor, has received praise for their professionalism, friendliness, and customer service. They are quick to respond, troubleshoot problems, and pay close attention to details during installations. Customers appreciated that they answer their phones even on Sundays, providing immediate help and advice. One customer mentioned that Jimmy came out with all the proper parts for a 10-year-old Navien tankless water heater, serviced it, and offered helpful tips on future maintenance and replacement. They also took time to walk around the house, explaining how to maintain mini splits and outdoor units, all at no extra charge. Another customer called Gary unexpectedly and explained their issue. Gary sent Jimmy and Trevor, who diagnosed the problem quickly and efficiently. Jimmy's knowledge of American Standard equipment impressed the customer, who was very satisfied and would highly recommend the company. Additionally, Alpine Heating And Cooling was able to resolve a significant issue with a high-efficiency furnace after an experience with another company that charged over $8,000 and delivered a loud, problematic furnace. Gary and his team replaced the noisy inducer outlet fan, and when similar issues arose, they identified the cause as an out-of-balance part. A simple ZIP TIE fix and soundproofing in the furnace closet solved the problem, and the customer saved about $3,000. The customer praised Gary and his team for listening carefully, finding effective solutions, and providing excellent service.
First off, they answer their phone on Sundays. That was amazing! Walked me through how to keep my guests with hot water until we could have a true service call.
Jimmy came out, brought all the proper parts for my 10 year old Navien tankless water heater, serviced my hot water heater, showed me what I need to think about for the future, and gave me great advice on when to think about replacing it. For no extra charge he walked around my house and help me understand how to maintain my mini splits and what to do to extend the life on my outdoor units. Excellent service!
Great service!
I called Gary out of the blue and explained my issue. Gary sent up Jimmy and Trevor and together were able to diagnose the issue quickly and efficiently. Jimmy was very knowledgeable and knew my American Standard equipment inside and out.
Very pleased and would highly recommend.
After CM Heating attempted to charge me over $11,000.00, I said No Way. So they charged me $8,000.00, the furnace was LOUD, turned out to be small inducer outlet fan. Woke me at night, sounded like a large sump pump! CM swapped out the fan with same part, so it was just as LOUD. I asked them to pull the furnace! Then I called Gary at Alpine and it was wonderful!! He got me into a High Efficiency furnace, there was some sound proofing prep of the closet that housed the furnace. When installed we had similar issues to the inducer outlet fan, the tech realized it was out of balance, he attached a ZIP TIE, it solved the issue!!! And the cost was about $3k less than CM!!...read full review
