Maplewood has been our vet for the last 7 years and we have always been very happy with their level of care and service for our dog. Six years ago we moved an hour away but still made the drive to Maplewood -- until recently when we had to find a local vet for monthly allergy shots. Our dog is currently experiencing leg paralysis and the local vet is scheduling 2 weeks out. We called Maplewood and got an appointment next day. My wife took one of our dogs in to get his eye checked out and they tried to tell my wife that they needed to do a biopsy on his eye! Thankfully she got a second opinion, it was ALLERGIES. This place wanted to do a surgical procedure after get this, "looking in a book for ideas"! Allergy medicine later and all better. Seems like they just want money! Now my mom just let me know that she took her dog in for a tooth extraction and when she picks up her dog, they removed 25 teeth! Left her with 1 tooth, no pain meds, and they never called to consult her on pulling so many teeth! WTF is the vet doing over there?
