    Several years ago, I was experiencing such severe back pain as well as right Sciatic Nerve pain going down my right leg that it required my going to the ER on a Thursday night. A MRI showed I had L4-L5 Degenerative Disc Disease with bone to bone contact and a Cyst on my right Sciatic Nerve. I was immediately scheduled to see an Orthopedic Neuro Surgeon that Monday. The next day I had an out of town family emergency that required my help and I was gone for 2 1/2 months with such severe pain that I was using a walker to get around.     Dr. Hu is genuinely kind, caring and very skilled at what she does. I've seen her off and on as needed and continue to be amazed how much acupuncture can help, especially with pain and inflammation. Dr. Hu educates on things you can do between appointments to help, and if she can't help you, she'll say so. About two years ago I had a shoulder issue and after trying acupuncture, she said acupuncture wouldn't help. However, she also figured out it was referral pain from a hot spot originating along my medial scapula. She pressed on it firmly, which hurt a lot. But then I lifted my arm with reduced pain.     It has been 7 years since my first diagnosis with Morton's neuroma (in 2018). Last month, I tried hiking but after 10 miles a day I had to stop as my feet were in so much pain. The pain had gotten so bad I was willing to cut off or burn off the nerves that send pain signals. I had researched the success rate of RFA (78-88% success rate with Perplexity.ai) so thought I would ask the podiatrist for the treatment.

    The new podiatrist said I had metatarsalgia at the ball of the feet but I could not get RFA as the HMO (KP) does not have the machine in their pain management department (with 12 million members KP does not have a machine for pain management!)... read full review
