my daughter recently got a stunning hair cut done with Jonny! We really appreciate Jonny's commitment to having a staff that is knowledgeable and comfortable caring for black hair it's a rare find in this neck of the woods. We are so excited to have found this place and we are committed to being long term customers. As a 15 year old girl it is such a confidence building experience to leave an appointment feeling beautiful and proud of your look!
UPDATE: Jonny called me personally to explain the misunderstanding and let me know that they would be refunding me as he agreed I should have been charged for a clipper cut, not a regular cut. I would have appreciated broader communication about their decision not to cut kids hair and I think prices should be more clearly available BUT I deeply appreciate Jonny’s call and this service gesture. Thank you and I rescind my previous “no recommendation.” NOTE: I DO NOT RECOMMEND. The rating won’t let me even click “not recommend!” My three kids have been going to Jonny Levi’s since it opened. We have always loved the warmth of the studio and the skill of the stylists. Today, my husband took my 12-year old son for a haircut and we were charged $78 (including tip). I made this appointment several months ago and was under the impression that a child’s haircut was $40. I called to inquire about their pricing and was told by Alona that they had changed their policy and no longer do “child’s haircuts”. I informed her that I had not received any new of this, nor is their pricing listed on their website, NOR had anyone told my husband of the cost when he brought my son in. She told me that they had posted this on social media. Since this is the first time in months that I have been on social media (specifically to write this post) and even if I was, I do not follow Jonny Levi Studio, there was no way for me to know that I would be charged so much for a boys short haircut. I also feel it was not handled/received well by the studio when I called. I am so disappointed but we won’t be going back.
Rachel does amazing work! I have seen her for lash extensions, facial waxing, and eyebrow tinting. She is very personable while providing high quality work in a professional manner. I look forward to my appointments with her!
