I think this was a very budget-friendly option. My dad was very clear with me that he did not want a viewing, and cremation only. I selected the $15 transfer urn.
They were very quick with getting him cremated and the process was very easy.
I will be pre-planning funeral arrangements with Yahn and Son as a part of my estate plan.

Yahn & Son is truly a gem in our community. From the first call after my mother passed, we knew we were in good hands. Their team arrived promptly and helped us navigate the many decisions we faced, which was deeply comforting during this time. Rob and his staff are dedicated, professional, and compassionate, making the planning as smooth and meaningful as possible. It is rare to find a business where genuine courtesy and pride of ownership are evident in every detail. I am truly grateful for the care they provided. I highly recommend Yahn & Son.

During a very difficult time for our family, following the passing of my mother-in-law, Yahn & Son provided truly outstanding service. As a small, family-owned business, the owners and their staff showed a level of dedication, compassion, and professionalism that sets them apart. They were incredibly proactive communicators, guiding us through every decision with patience and kindness, and ensuring every detail was handled. The staff was courteous, understanding the difficulty we were facing, and making us feel comfortable during a time of immense stress. Their follow-through was impeccable and appreciated! It is rare to find a small business of this caliber in a world that is getting more impersonal. I highly recommend them for their heartfelt care and the pride and respect they take in their work.

The pewes smelled of urine badly. They should really shampoo their benches. The outdoor parking staff was very courteous.

This is an exemplary funeral home. The staff are exceptional, compassionate, and very accommodating during such a difficult time. I especially appreciated being able to share our family’s stories and our journey to America with Rhonda, who is a truly kind and attentive listener.
The owner also goes above and beyond—he even assists with driving when needed—and is an outstanding individual. I hold this establishment in the highest regard.
Our pastor, who officiated the service, was remarkable. He offered thoughtful and comforting words about the passing of our loved ones, including my sister and father. Seeing them in the casket was deeply emotional, but it also brought a sense of peace, knowing their spirits have been lifted and they are no longer suffering. While we continue to grieve, we take comfort in knowing they are at rest.
I strongly recommend Yahn & Son to anyone in need of funeral services. They also offer caskets for purchase, if desired.

Thank you so much to the team at Yahn & son for not only being compassionate during the initial viewing but every step of the way to we paid my cousin to rest. Thank you especially to DeAndre for preparing us for the viewing as well as helping us coordinate the times we could come. Especially because we know that you guys took amazing care of my cousin it gave our family immense comfort. Getting the opportunity to say goodbye was tough but it was a huge help from everyone there to help us. Thank you for placing a warm blanket on him each time we came to finish the last few arrangements. Your compassion for our loved ones is something we will always be grateful for.

I am a licensed funeral director in the state of WA. When my grandmother passed away in another state THIS is the funeral home i choose to assist. We had my grandmother sent to us from California to be buried with my grandfather at the National Cemetery. Take it from someone that knows... they are the best, they have the CLEANEST sheltering areas (something the public doesnt see) and they will treat you and your family with kindness and respect.

Updated: The transportation crew was a third party contractor and has since apologized and made adjustments to the way that they honour the wishes of the people we are caring for. There is a way to honor decedents and a way to follow health conscious and safe protocol. I appreciate James for thinking about the ways that changes could be made and reaching back out to have a conversation about it. Because of that I am adjusting and updating this review.
Original Review: Two transportation folks came to our door without calling with an ETA, walked in, didn’t say hello or introduce themselves. Not even a sorry for your loss. When I asked them if they had shoe covers, the woman acted like asked her to do something so out of line. I offered her and her husband disposable shoe covers and they scoffed. I let them know our decedent was shrouded, in a legal manner for WA law and we didn’t need the plastic bag or the quilt.
He said, I’ll come in a see the situation. When I agreed and said once more, the decedent was legally covered, he said enough with you people and said we’re sending another team.
The woman then scoffed again and accused us of telling her husband how to do his job. I said no mam, I’m just telling you what’s legal. This person can leave here in his shroud, once he’s in your care, you do as your company mandates. 0/10 I would never trust these two to care for a family experiencing a loss. So disappointing.

Incredibly disrespectful upon collection of our beloved. They tried to walk into our community home with not even a hello, not a condolence, not a regard for home (requested about shoes removal) and a refusal to have a conversation about process before abruptly leaving saying a different “crew” would be sent. I will not ever recommend their services- an absolute lack of compassion after loss. No family, friend or community member should have to encounter this service. Disgraceful.
