Mrs. Kim did a superb job on my dress. It was an unflattering hem length in my opinion and she just shortened the under layer and top layer to my preference. She measured it on me while I was wearing the shoes I will be wearing the dress with. I tossed some ideas to see what she could do, and I would've loved a slit but she was forthright about the fabric and how it is a tricky fabric and what she can do. She even made the hem finish much more sturdier than what it was. It's perfect length now, and she explained how to care for it and to be careful about snagging the cloth on jewelry, as well as how to wash it. She was also very patient with my impatient children. My partner now wants to bring his own suits in to be assessed for alterations, as she had said she does suit alterations. 5/5 will come back in the future. The dress was done in a weeks time.
Sew Beautiful, not to be confused with Sewing Specialties (across the street next to the driving school) has helping out a lot over the years. From dresses to pants, they do it all ! So happy with the service each time I go in. Which is why I’ll keep going back for all my alteration needs 😌
I get so many items tailored and believe that it's the key to looking put together. I love that Sew Beautiful does such a great job on all of the garments I've had altered. I've had pants, shirts, dresses, and even an overly complicated multi-layer skirt shortened and all have come back stunning. They do amazing work, are priced fairly, and are just wonderful people. It's such a clean establishment too.
