“I spent an entire morning calling around S. Burlington and the UVM area, looking for someplace that could accommodate a patient with cancer who needed help and a gentle touch. Of the salons that I made contact with, I got nothing but attitude and ridicule and four-week out appointments (after explaining that the patient was losing hair rapidly, and just wanted it cut down to help make the transition during chemo). Finally, I spoke to Robin at Hair Dynasty near Taft's Corners and discovered someone with a heart as big as her personality. She understood my concerns and the patient's needs. She was kind, compassionate, and unbelievably flexible -- nothing like the salons around the U-mall and Dorset street.
