It’s a tough time for service providers. Staff shortages, materials cost increases, and in the case of those working outdoors, the darned weather! That’s why we watched in amazement while the team of painting professionals from Clean Cut Painting took our sadly neglected log home from pitiful to magnificent in three short days.
We had first contacted Chris in early ‘24 about working on our house. As popular as he is, alas, we’d have to wait a year. As the snow melted in April ‘25, we anticipated a late May start…then the rains came. Having once owned a property management company which did a considerable amount of landscaping, I knew Chris might be in trouble. What amazed me was the calm and self assurance he’s displayed through this whole ordeal. He is meeting obligations and exceeding expectations with each new job!
Let’s talk a bit about the actual crew we hosted each day. They’re a true TEAM. Each one has the others’ backs and they seem like friends as well as co workers. Their crew leader is an excellent communicator, congenial and in control of any situation which might arise. Each team member is respectful and VERY well trained! We so enjoyed observing the focus and proficiency displayed each day.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention the water shortage issue we’re dealing with here in Cabot. Even though I did most of the power washing last October, I knew there would probably be a need for more this time. I cautioned Chris about our drilled well possibly running dry if we overdid the pressure wash and he formulated a plan to get things where they needed to be with mostly scraping and sanding. JP, our crew leader, relayed this to the rest and we were assured we’d be showering for another few weeks anyway (Please RAIN already!)
Chris insists on the BEST! Quality materials, meticulous preparation and flawless execution are his trademarks. His team has totally bought into this philosophy and it’s on display daily.
We’re already planning to have the crew return for interior work and metal roof painting next year. Can’t wait to see them perform their magic indoors!
So happy to find a new hair salon. Fawn did a wonderful job. The place is clean and quiet. Very nice. The view is amazing!
Beautiful gallery! Some of the most lovely photography! The books look amazing! I bought a couple of amazing note cards. One thing I must mention is how amazing the decor here is! The beautiful wind chimes, statues, etc.... and the gallery space itself, so much time and love goes into it!

Chris Doolan of Doolan Fences built a 46’ shadow-box fence for our yard. We needed a 6-foot cedar fence to give us privacy. He designed it and constructed it on site just what we wanted. He was diligent and exacting in his work and we would recommend him to anyone.
