Saves a little bit of money. Petco rabies vaccine is $35.00 vs $54.00 at my regular veterinary doctor. Saves you the cost of a decent pizza 🍕😜
There is something most people don't know about rabies vaccine is that it's one dose fits all sizes. They don't dose it based on the weight of the animal. A large dog like a Rottweiler it's the same dose as a little tiny Chihuahua. In 2022 I lost a dog due to a rabies vaccine from a different Box Store Veterinary service and when I did a Google search saying rabies vaccine killed my dog, I found reports in Canada and all across the United States from that same box store and I can tell you it's not Petco. The vaccine clinic is a great service. The only issue is with the package vaccine schedule. I had to pay for a vaccine I didn't need or get. If I picked the package without the one I didn't need it and added the one I did. It would of jumped from 165 to 198 dollars for each dog. I had 3.
So. I stuck with the one for $165. They don't offer to credit it as paid when needed.
Other than that. It really is a convenience and considerably less expensive than a vet visit these days.

I have 2 pups. Mick is almost 14 years old and Maverick is a year and a half. Mick has been suffering with pancreatitis and could not get his yearly vaccinations. Maverick needed all of his yearly vaccinations. I had both pups with me in the store while waiting for Maverick’s appointment. The team was absolutely wonderful! The vet even volunteered information on how to help Mick with healing from the pancreatitis. She was wonderful in handling Maverick. He’s a Shih Tzu mix and is so dramatic. He buried his head under the nurses arm when they presented the needle. I am so glad we went here. I have another appointment in a couple days to get Mick up to date.
