1200 miles from home, I visited Mowen Opticians to see if a pair of badly damaged frames could be repaired. One lens had popped out when the frame had been significantly distorted, the hinge and earpiece mount were flattened and twisted, and everything appeared to be out of alignment. In about 15 minutes the glasses were returned in ready to wear condition - it was incredible and impressive. This gentleman's expertise and skill set are amazing. Then, to complete this performance, he refused payment saying only "this is what I do." so I stopped in to get this man, the owner, his name is Keith by the way, to just tighten up my glasses and replace a screw on the frame. Well, not only did he do that, he went as far as replacing the nose pads, and thoroughly cleaning the entire thing. I couldn’t get him to accept any payment, AMAZING gentleman !

About 10 days before I had major surgery in April, I ordered new lenses for 3 pairs of glasses whose frames were still in very good condition, and I ordered new Rx sunglasses (frames and lenses). My husband and my daughter had previously gotten new glasses here, so I was already familiar with the business and with Mr. Payne. My own experience here was nothing short of stellar.
