Based on the reviews, Lee Tailoring is a skilled and kind business run by Ms. Lee. Her work is impeccable and she is a truly skilled seamstress. Ms. Lee goes above and beyond to alter dresses, even remaking a prom dress that was the wrong size, resulting in a perfect finished product. She takes her time with measuring and suggests alterations that fit best, all done in a timely manner. Ms. Lee is very friendly and can fix complicated errors with ease, even on an exceptionally short deadline. For example, she fixed a vintage wedding dress from the 1940s in a matter of hours, hand stitching the delicate silk after closing time. Her prices are exceptionally reasonable, though one customer noted the cost was high until they saw the perfect result. Ms. Lee is kind, helpful, and accommodating with great customer focus. She offers fast turnarounds when needed. Her location is easy to find by Route 17, and her place is spacious and clean. She is a one-person show who will stop working to help customers, but the wait is worth it.
Just picked up a prom dress that had to be practically remade due to the size. Ms Lee went above and beyond to alter the dress. Turned out fantastic, and I can not recommend her enough. Her work is impeccable! Truly a skilled seamstress.
I recently got my first office job and was in need of tailoring for several new outfits to get my first week of clothes ready. Ms. Lee took her time with measuring and even suggested certain alterations that would fit best, all while doing them in a very timely manner. I even took in my favorite cloak with a small tear because I knew it would look best after she mended it! She is very friendly on top of being a very skilled tailor. I will be bringing in all my future items to her!
Absolutely the best of the best. After another tailor working in NYC left my wedding vintage wedding dress with several significant and noticeable errors two days before my wedding, I was panicked. On a whim, I stopped by Lee Tailoring and explained the situation, the errors, and the timeline. Not only was Ms. Lee able to fix these (fairly complicated!) errors in a matter of hours (while the previous tailor had quite literally six months with the dress), she stayed with me after her closing time to hand stitch the silk with the dress on my body, given how delicate the fabric is (the dress is from the 1940s).
