Still agree that Total Health Center is a game changer for my health!! I have now been enjoying the Swedish massages their office has to offer! There aren’t enough words for me to be able to describe how satisfied I am with my decision to seek functional health services from Dr. Mark A. Scott D.C. He truly is magical. I only wish I knew of his practice sooner so I could have avoided ending up in the ICU last July when I was experiencing unusual thumping in my neck/chest, nausea, heavy breathing, and a strange array of colors clouding my vision. I quickly learned that my heart was in A-FIB and it was due to a hyperactive thyroid condition that I was unaware I had. “Thyroid storm” is the medical term the ER used. When asking the ICU doctors what could have caused this to happen all of a sudden at the age of 37, I couldn’t get an answer. I was just told they needed to get my heart back into sinus rhythm and the why didn’t matter at this point. Luckily, I was released after a five day hospital stay. However, I still was not getting an answer as to why I experienced a truly scary medical crisis. One day, after firing three (3) endocrinologists my mom showed me an article for Dr. Scott and I will admit attending his free seminar was a game changer! I sat in the hour long presentation and felt like he was speaking only to me because all of the symptoms he mentioned, I had felt them all. Once he explained that functional medicine was focused on finding out the “why” he had me sold. Don’t get me wrong, I was still skeptical because I knew nothing about functional health and I was not positive if he would actually be someone that could help me. I was accepted into his program and I spent a pretty penny to obtain his services - but I would do it again and again because I’ve lost 30 pounds within 3 months, my stomach no longer aches or has a full bloating sensation, my migraines are nearly gone completely, my skin has cleared dramatically, my energy levels have begun to return to a desirable state, my thyroid numbers have stabilized, and I feel like I’m ten years younger. The fact Dr. Scott can turn the hands of time around, I stand-by what I originally said when describing him as MAGICAL! If I could give anyone advice regarding Dr. Scott, I would have to say to not be foolish and turn away his services because of the initial cost assessment.
