“Previous experience with other dog trainers hadn't gone well, but we wanted to have our new puppy socialized and to be well behaved. Cyrus, our 7-month English Lab, was your typical rambunctious puppy; all energy and no direction. We chose Auburn's K9 Academy partially for location but mostly because of our interaction with Auburn. Before signing up, he came to our house to visit Cyrus and see if he was a good candidate or if this was the right time. You could instantly see that the dog respected Auburn and listened to him immediately. Dogs are better judges of people than people are - so that sold me.
After just the first class we saw a difference and it improved each session. Auburn not only works with the dog but also the owners - which is probably the hardest part! We all learned how to better interact with our dog and now he is a joy to walk and be taken in public without worrying about him jumping up or misbehaving.
