The surgeon has been practicing orthopaedics in Northern Virginia since 1995. He founded Arthritis & Sports in 1998 and serves as its President and CEO. Patients describe the staff as pleasant, patient and professional, very professional and very courteous. The surgeon has a great bedside manner, not rushed, focused on each patient. Many note quick processing of X‑rays and prompt discussion of results. Long wait times for surgery appointments at the local hospital were reported, but patients still recommend the practice for excellent, caring doctors and friendly, helpful staff. The surgeon explains and answers all questions, leaving patients very satisfied.
I can't believe the low ratings, except they were ages ago! I have been thoroughly satisfied with the expert handling I've received. I do notice the clinicians change, but now everyone has been good at explaining everything. just had the 2nd hip replaced, having follow-up tomorrow. will add to this if warranted.
All staff pleasant, patient and professional. Only issue was wait time for surgery appointment. Fist available date at local hospital for doctor availability was April 2026 - a 4 1/2 month wait! Selected a Feb 26,2026 date at a surgery center in MD - much greater travel time for patient.
My experience with Dr Peyton has always been great! He did my knee replacement surgery, I was recently there to examine my other knee that I have been having issues with, they did X-rays and then he came in and we discussed the findings. He has a great bedside manner about him and treats you like a human being, not rushed and is focused on you and not trying to rush to the next patient waiting for him. I love him and would recommend him to anyone!
