I feel incredibly blessed to have found Air Solutions. Carmen and his son are really great, honest people. I had the company that initially replaced my HVAC unit 5 years ago come out to do a maintenance check on the system, to prevent having the system break down again in the middle of the summer, as it did in 2019. I was told by the technician that everything "looked good and was functioning normally", despite my concerns about strange noises coming from the unit. Even with the system temp set at 70, the upper floor felt like a sauna, and I never felt much cold air coming through any of the vents. About a week after his visit, the unit noises got louder and then I began noticing water coming from underneath the indoor unit...a lot of water, which required my having to place towels on the floor. I also noticed the thermostat, although set at 70, was reading 75 and rose higher as the day went on. And that was just the temperature on the main level of the home. On the upper level, it felt like it was at least 80+. I hesitated to call this technician back out, to be told (and charged again) that everything was functioning normally. So I took a chance and called Air Solutions. I spoke with Carmen, and he was so accommodating, that he offered to come out the very next day. When he and his son arrived and went to look at the indoor unit, they noticed water gushing from it. First they flushed the system for any potential clog, and then removed the panels to check for leaks. There was ice, at least 2 inches thick, around the evaporator coil, SMH. So Carmen had me turn on the heat to help to melt the ice, so that afterwards he could check to make sure the AC would still function normally. There was a great deal of rust that had accumulated on the drip pan noted. Carmen and his son took a lot of readings and did various service checks for leaks. I was going to leave them to their business, but Carmen wanted me to stay, watch and understand what had happened, what they were doing and what the function of particular parts were. He replaced both the capacitor in the blower motor of the indoor system, as well as the condenser dual motor run capacitor in the outdoor unit. He checked my Freon level to make sure it was ok. They also cleaned the outdoor unit coils. Carmen made sure that no stone was left unturned, and I couldn't be more thankful for their time, patience, and effort into restoring cool air to my home. Its now been more than 6 hours since they left, but the system sounds soooooo much better. There's no leaking from underneath the inside system, AND...the home is getting cooler air now!! 😍😍 All at a very honest and reasonable price. That's why Air Solutions has gained a new customer, and is now my "go-to" for all of my HVAC needs.
