We've been taking our dogs here since 2023 and they've done nothing but take great care of them. The vet techs are always friendly and the doctors show so much care. I've only had a few issues with the front desk and some of them not scheduling appointments properly, specifically for my dogs who require the chill protocol and requiring certain medications for appointments. Other than that, I have no issues and definitely recommend this office if you're looking for a quality veterinarian and safe place for your pets.

Our cat was here 10yrs ago for a spay and microchip. Charged over $400. Today was her checkup at another vet and come to find out there was never a chip implanted into our cat yet we were charged. Furthermore, for a decade she has been without means of identification so if she went missing we may have never gotten her back.
This is unacceptable, not sure what happened or what oversight occurred, but this is like the most critical part of vet care beyond saving lives. Because if your pet gets lost and you spend money on microchips you expect that as your safety net.
Lesson learned, always have them scan your pet at time of pickup to ensure they have the microchip.

Recently we had to take our dog to an emergency vet. When we followed up at AGAH, they got us an appointment the day after, were so kind and realistic about our options. They don't try to talk you into unnecessary care or treatments. I was very impressed with the tech, Jenn, and the doctor (a lovely British man who's name I can't remember). They were knowledgeable and sincere.

We recently had to change our vet due to distance. I could not be any happier with our decision to on trusting our fur babies. All the four times we either had to do urgent care visits or routine ones- all the vet docs took the time to explain everything and took the time gaining the trust of my babies.

I literally cannot say enough good things about Dr Pendley. Not only did she take the time during my dogs annual visit I got a call hours after her appointment to follow up. She was extremely knowledgeable about Dalmatians and their potential to get urinary stones. Extra bonus that Fig absolutely adored her. So thankful for such a great caring team taking care of my spoiled pup.

Yesterday morning, Frank was attacked by 3 German shepherds and got extensive bite wounds. One of which we found out later left his jugular vein exposed. I rushed him to AGAH, as they are his primary vet but also the closest to my house. I ran inside sobbing and begging for help. The staff rushed outside to carry frank into the clinic, while the manager Kali immediately began to comfort me. She took me inside and cleaned up my bite wounds on my hands and continued to comfort me and calm me down. Dr Pendley was able to stabilize him with her team. She was honest with me, and told me Frank would be better seen by a specialist because of how severe his neck bite was. She called Cladda Vet in Fredericksburg to explain Frank’s wounds and ask if they could take him. She even got an estimate from them for his treatment. I wasn't able to take him down to Cladda because I needed to go to the ER for the dog bites on my hand, when the manager Kali offered to drive him there herself. She got Frank to Cladda safely.
This is not a practice that looks to squeeze every penny out of you. This is a practice with an entire staff that's compassionate and empathetic, and will do whatever they can for your fur babies. I've had dogs my entire life, and have never experienced this level of professionalism and kindness from any veterinary practice. I can't write a long enough review to express how grateful I am.

I've been taking my dog here for years but clearly the level of service has changed. This isnt the first bad experience but we decided to give them another chance. Appointment was scheduled for 4:50 and we got there at 4:20 to ensure he got in because my sons had taekwondo practice across the street at 5:00pm. I was going to get our pet in, drop them off then come wait for King. Although we were early they were late. I understand them running behind but they have to be mindful that we have schedules as well. They didn't get King until 5:11pm. We were late for taekwondo. They didn't seem to care that we were waiting since 4:20pm with my sons waiting because they have a 2 person in the lobby rule. I told them I was going to drop my sons off so they can catch some of their practice. I got there and it was only 20 minutes left of practice so it was no need to go back just to come back. Waited for my sons to finish and came back. Got a call from them asking if I'm coming to get my dog. Shocked they were done so fast. I was gone for 25-30 minutes at the most. Went in and the doctor was fine. Cordial... but the receptionist. Guess she felt the need to say they charge boarding fees if we leave our pets. NOW. You were 20 mins late and caused me to be late for our practice. We got there early at 4:20 and we're pretty much ignored. Her excuse was these are doc appointments and my response is we dont accommodate you because your running late. We have lives to and we pay for a service. For her to try and let me know I need to be mindful of something when they were so late was insulting. And threaten to charge a boarding fee after they were late after finishing services... seriously..

3 stars because I have visited often and have always had excellent service. But today, I did not feel valued as a customer. I was in line. The only one in line, but the front desk ladies were on calls. No problem, I know I am next. After one lady hangs up, she decides to take another call that just came in. I am in a hurry! I was next! It was a short call. No problem. I can wait. I finally get help and half way through helping me, a patient walks in. Some guy from the main office decides to help check in the new patient, decides to use my front lady's computer, and I have to wait until he is done to get helped! MY TIME HAS VALUE! If I am next in line...help me first.

I wouldn't recommend. Called to schedule routine shots. Appointment was at 1:10pm. They moved my appointment without checking with me and when I did check-in, I waited nearly 30 minutes past the appointment time. I may have had a differnt experience than my wife because she usually makes all the appointments for the animals, but this is what happened to me.
