My sons finger was caught in a door and while it was clear the fingernail would come off, we weren’t sure if it was infected or not. I took my son to velocity just to be safe and was immediately greeted with friendly staff to check us in and were seen very quickly by Jessie to get vitals and a general overview. The nurse practitioner, Jacqueline, evaluated my son and determined the fingernail could safely come off without causing significant pain to my son. With the help of Jessie and another staff member, they were able to hold my son securely so this could be done. It took less than a minute and he barely cried.
