About American Freestyle Karate

American Freestyle Karate (AFK), established in 1982, is dedicated to sharing the positive impact of martial arts with families. The professional instructors provide high-quality physical and philosophical instruction, blending traditional and modern principles to create a relevant curriculum. This curriculum is designed to mentor students in achieving their personal best. New students and families have had positive experiences at AFK. They find the instructors to be knowledgeable, caring, patient, and clear with their instructions. The classes are enjoyable, and techniques are broken down so students can learn efficiently and correctly. AFK offers a variety of options, including basic classes and the Blackbelt club, at affordable rates. They work with students to build confidence in martial arts and care for their students' well-being. One family appreciates the variety of ages and skill levels in the supportive environment, making it an enjoyable experience for everyone. They highly recommend AFK for those looking to return to martial arts practice or start a new journey. The goal of becoming a family of black belts seems attainable with AFK's guidance.

Since my daughter started her journey at AFK she's grown her confidence, strength, determination, and so much more. She's excited and dedicated in a way I've not seen previously. I believe the recognition she receives for her continued effort has a lot to do with this. The instructors are really engaged and passionate about teaching. Being a 12 year old tween girl is hard these days and it's been really great for my daughter to have a positive atmosphere and enriching environment to learn in. She's picking up essential life skills at AFK and we're very thankful for that!
