In January 2014, I was scheduled to attend Equissage. But unfortunately my father ended up in the hospital in California where I’m from. I had to fly from Virginia to California to see him. There was a slight miscommunication in rescheduling. I had it down for April. I contacted Equissage and was told At that time, Mary only had enough horses for eight students instead of her usual 10 so I wouldn’t be able to attend the class . My heart sunk, so I asked Mary if I could bring my own horses and I had two mares that I could bring up with me to attend the class that week. It worked out perfect. So not only was I able to take the class but she was also able to add another student who would otherwise not been able to do it. The week that I was there, I was coming every morning and staying every evening to care for my horses . Mary and I and her beautiful dogs would walk through the fields and we would chat. We became fast friends. I learned so much about her and her vision that week it inspired me to massage one horse at a time to improve the quality of every horse, every age , every discipline. Giving them the best opportunity to be the best partner for their owners. In June 2014 N TOUCH equine and Canine massage Therapy was born. 11 years later, I’m going strong, only because of the principles that Mary instilled in me and all of her students. One of the things that she said to me in the field as we were watching the sunset and she said to me, “never stop learning for them” as we were watching the herd of horses grazing about. I have been true to her and my calling. I have never stopped learning for them. She set the foundation and I built the dream. I cannot thank Mary enough for believing in me. I would not be as successful if it wasn’t for her .
