“Melissa came to my home to do newborn photos, and I had a wonderful experience from our first consult to having the photos in my hand. Melissa met with me a few months before my due date to help me understand what to expect from the newborn session, as well as to get to know my style and any extra details important to photographing my family (preferred sides we like photographed, any mobility limitations that may impact how we can pose, etc.). She also provided a packet of information detailing prep for the newborn photos, outfit suggestions, and add on services offered. She welcomed me to reach out to her at any point prior to the session with any questions or concerns, and she touched base with me several times prior to my baby’s arrival. My little one came slightly early due to pregnancy complications, and the sincere concern in talking with Melissa regarding scheduling my session was not missed. On the day of, she arrived to my house and transformed a room into a professional photography studio. She was so patient with photographing my family (I have a toddler as well). She brought a sound machine and a space heater to keep my newborn comfortable, and even paused mid-session to let him eat to keep him calm and content. She put so much time and effort into capturing his every detail, and the resulting photos are beautiful keepsakes of this precious time. After our session, she had a zoom meeting with me to help me select images for purchase and was wonderful about helping me make selections (I loved every photo; it was a hard choice). I received digital downloads for all of the images, which Melissa followed up to make sure had downloaded without issue. I got prints made for several of the photos. The photos were meticulously packaged and quickly delivered, and I cannot wait to display them in my home. Melissa is a talented photographer, and her compassion, kind demeanor, and love of her career shine through in her work. I also should include that while I did purchase multiple photos, I won the session and some prints through a giveaway. Despite my session not yielding Melissa any profit (and costing her a long drive to my home), I felt like I was her most prized client during the entire process and am so thankful for the beautiful keepsakes she provided me.“
