The Float Zone is RVA's leading sensory deprivation float spa, featuring four float tanks and convenient hours from Monday to Saturday. Customers appreciate the excellent customer service, affordable rates, and the clean facility. The spa is recognized for its industry leadership in clinical research.
At The Float Zone, customers can enjoy a private float pod filled with 10 inches of skin temperature (94 degree) water saturated with 1000 pounds of Epsom salts. Floating in this anti-gravity state allows the brain to enter a brainwave state similar to sleep, providing benefits such as anxiety and stress management, pain relief, athletic recovery, and improved sleep.
First-time floaters find the introductory process clear and stress-free, with an informative video and walkthrough guiding them. The cleanliness and calming atmosphere are often noted, with customers leaving positive feedback about the friendly and professional staff. The float tanks and rooms are always clean and free of any chemical smell, and the rooms lock from the inside, adding to the feeling of safety.
The Float Zone provides all necessary supplies for the float experience, including towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, earplugs, and Vaseline for cuts or scrapes. The pods are user-friendly, with options to close them fully or leave them open for those who may feel claustrophobic. Gentle in-bath spa music and lights can be easily activated while floating, and a call button is available for assistance.
After the float, customers are encouraged to relax in the tranquility room, which features comfy chairs, reading material, and complimentary tea. There are also hair dryers, body lotion, and Q-tips provided. The staff does not rush customers to leave, allowing them to fully enjoy the relaxing experience. Overall, The Float Zone serves as an incredible resource for wellness and recovery, helping individuals feel nurtured and restored in mind, body, and spirit.
Went for the first time as part of a birthday surprise and I did not realize how much my body needed something like this! I actually cried a little 😆 Also, noticed that they offer massages which is a wonderful experience to intertwine with the water therapy. This is perfect book of a getaway to just slow down and be oneself for some time.
I LOVE this place! I've done the Fire & Ice at this location and was truly impressed with the cleanliness, hospitality, wonderful staff and overall experience. The room I was given was VERY clean and comfortable and the staff walks you through the best way to accomplish your goals. Can't recommend enough!
Fantastic customer service! I had made a mistake in scheduling and was easily able to get a different appointment time by calling and speaking with the excellent receptionist! She was very kind and helpful.
