Based on customer reviews, Superior Fence & Rail of Richmond provides excellent customer service and professional craftsmanship. Customers had a great experience from start to finish, noting the team was knowledgeable, friendly, and easy to work with. The installers were awesome and did an excellent job, checking in often to ensure everything was how the customer wanted. The fence looks fantastic, beautiful, and well built. One customer loves their new fence, and another noted that since the fence was installed, deer no longer come into the backyard. The crew arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves. When one issue came up after installation, the team came back in a timely manner to fix it. Customers appreciate the professional advice and stress-free experience, with no pressure to choose something not needed. The team helps explain options and local requirements to select the best fence for each budget. Overall, customers are very happy with the finished product and would definitely recommend Superior Fence & Rail of Richmond.
What a long strange trip it’s been. This wasn’t an easy job for many reasons, most of them being my neighbor being a problem, but Joshua W. (Sales) was diligent, kind, considerate and helpful. I was able to get the fence I needed and wanted due to his advocacy and his willingness to work with me to find a fence the price and materials that worked and looked amazing. When the install went sideways he was here advocating and helping me and his team figure it out.
Norlyn the second crew chief was AMAZING, he was able to fix the first crews mistakes and built me one the most stunning fences I’ve seen. Wesley is the crews manager and helped out when things went sideways and when needed to convey the message and what needed to be done effectively.
So the longer story is this, they had one crew come out to install a very large not super complicated but not easy privacy fence. Whatever could’ve gone wrong did basically, some was the crews doing and some life’s doing. When I expressed concerns over the fence Joshua and Wesley both came out. We had hoped to salvage the fence but with more observations we all realized that the fence was hand not done to their standards or mine. They brought in Norlyn to look and fix it. In 1.5 days Norlyn fixed every issue with the fence and built something very strong and great looking! He needs to train all their crews because he’s honestly a true craftsman as are his crew members. The first crew needs more support or to choose another profession honestly.
Why I kept it 5 stars despite having issues. First because Joshua and Norlyn deserve that, they are both amazing to work with and wanted to make it right. Second because when the fence was obviously not done correctly they removed the ENTIRE thing and replaced it. And this was a large residential fence project enclosing nearly 1/2 acre of yard. All while dealing with my problematic neighbor, the insane heat and the first crews many poor choices. When a company is more than willing to make it right on this scale and then goes above and beyond, I’ll give the credit where it’s due.
My advice is use Joshua W for sales and don’t hesitate to ask for some extras 🙃, I know Joshua will get you the best deal possible. Then get in contact with Wesley prior to start so you can easily communicate anything you need to crews or when you aren’t sure if something is being done properly. Top tip is Ask for Norlyn and his amazing crew to be your installers. And then I think you have the best fence you can get.
From the beginning of our project, Josh was so easy to work with. We appreciated his friendly and professional advice and the way he answered all of our questions. He actually heard and addressed our concerns by explaining our options and helping us understand the local requirements for fences. Then he helped us select the best fence for our needs and budget.
It was so nice to work with someone who seemed to actually care about giving great customer service without applying pressure to choose something we don't need. If you are looking for a new or replacement fence and a stress-free experience, we definitely recommend Josh and Superior Fence & Rail of Richmond.
This is my first time doing this project with Superior Fence & Rail and I love the finish product, it looks great. The customer service is very good. Since we had the fence we never see the deer come back in the backyard. So I definitely recommend.
