I’ve always been someone who gets pretty anxious about going to the dentist, so a good hygienist makes a HUGE difference for me. Today was my first time seeing Arati and she was fantastic. She was so gentle & calm which immediately put me at ease :) She’s very knowledgeable and explains what she is doing and the why. She was so thorough with my cleaning too!! The interaction between hygienist and doctor is so important too, and I could tell Dr. Guthrie & Arati make a great team!

Place has friendly people who care about their patients. It’s always cozy, they always tend to theme their office for holidays. All and all I enjoy when I go visit them, haven’t had a bad experience yet.

This was my first visit to James River Dentistry. The staff is amazing - very friendly! I liked the dentist, Dr. Guthrie, a lot - very thorough and explained all options. The best part was meeting Marley and CoaCoa (two cute dogs who welcome you and, if awake when you leave, say good-bye to you)... :) Great experience!
