This is the reason I LOVE supporting small businesses. I have been going to see Dr. Tiwari since I moved to Richmond years ago. Family Eye care of Virginia gives warm vibes. It's giving someone might be making a pot of fresh collards in the back :). The office feels like your oldest aunties house, which I love. Some may say it's dated, but I disagree. It's one of those feelings where you're like this place has GOOD BONES. More importantly, if it ain't broke don't fix it. When you walk in you're greeted by the receptionist (his wife I think). She gets you checked in and you wait in the "front parlor", for them to call you back. When I was taken back to the office, I was reminded why I love coming here. The huge eye machine they use is my favorite color pink and it takes me to a place of shiny and new COULD NEVER!! Dr. Tiwari is a great listener. I never feel as if he's rushing, he takes his time to converse with you and go over your exam thoroughly. We always have wonderful conversations, and I feel comfortable asking him anything. I def recommend and will continue to go back. PS they do have a 2nd location in Petersburg. PPS -- you know I couldn't leave a review without letting y'all know: The bathroom is clean and smells fine! You certainly can use the bathroom at this establishment -- and parking is in the back :)
I have been going to this practice since I moved to Virginia 1996. Dr Tiwari is now treating the third generation of my family. I couldn't ask for better, more professional, personalized care. My whole family loves going here and has always received the highest quality eye care and vision products.
Finally found a place where I feel comfortable and well cared for, as opposed to being just a number in a puppy mill type place where the emphasis is on volume only. Very very pleased.
