As an older student, Dean helped me realize the fun is in playing the music. With his guidance, I backed off the scales and drills and focused in on songs. Been playing for a long time, and relatively competent, but needed theory to fill in gaps to my playing. Dean has the knowledge and ability to explain show examples on guitar and piano, along with diving into songs from The Cure, The Eagles, Whitesnake, Transiberian Orchestra, to name a few.
Dean has a true gift in teaching music. He meets my son, who has special needs, where he is at and magically weaves a music lesson into his very fun sessions. I honestly can't give enough praise both his ability and he kindness. He is both a gifted musician and teacher and his love for music is contagious. We highly recommend!
