Arsenia's Alterations is a reliable dry cleaning and alteration shop with a reputation for quick, professional service. It is a readily available option if you are stationed in Portsmouth at the naval hospital or shipyard. Quick turn around. My only knock on it is that there is a smell not a foul odor but there is just a smell of the shop that sometimes works his way into your clothes if you leave it there too long. The smell usually dissipates after a little bit of time outside the shop but overall very satisfied customer and have used them many times when I needed a quick turnaround.
10/26/21- Tuesday Great customer service!!! We've been taking our Uniforms to this place. It's near Naval Medical Center Portsmouth. The students from NMTSC Det Portsmouth also utilize this place. Maraming Salamat po "KABABAYAN" :-) They're from Bulacan, Philippines....
I found Arsenia's Alerations after having been recommended it by an employee at the NEX after purchasing new insignia for my uniform and my only regret is not finding them sooner! I brought in five uniforms to be tailored, altered and dry cleaned. The woman in charge of alterations immediately noticed that my SDB sleeve insignia were all wrong and showed me other uniform sleeves for comparison. Without any problem at all, she assured me she'd be able to fix it though I was sure I'd have to end up buying a new jacket. Within the week, I came back to find all my uniforms perfectly repaired, pressed and ready as expected. All together, I paid $97 which is far cheaper than any other tailor I've taken all my uniforms to at once. Just be ready to pay cash only!
