Best record store in Hampton Roads for punk/hardcore and underground music, and it's been that way for a very long time. For all those who say the owner is mean and grumpy. Nah, he is cool. You just suck.

When I saw the name "Skinnie's Records" and the images I mentioned to my husband it's probably one old, white dude running the place. And I was pretty much correct. Maybe I'm the target demographic but I found several items to purchase, both old and newer artists. He thanked me for "buying good music" so I guess I passed muster. I've been three times in the last month and will be going back. No problems with the owner whatsoever.

I loved this place so much! The man who owned the place helped me find the perfect 70s rock records I needed! The owner has so much knowledge to make sure you get the right choice! I asked him even about jazz records and he led me to the perfect record! 10/10 would recommend to anyone!
