I’m a former employee of Duke Brothers, and several months ago, I posted a series of one-star reviews against this company out of anger and personal frustration. At the time, I was struggling deeply with addiction and made some poor decisions that I now deeply regret. These reviews were not truthful or fair, and I posted them while in a very bad place mentally and emotionally. I’ve since entered recovery and am working through my 12-step program, which includes making amends. As part of that, I want to be completely honest and take accountability: Duke Brothers did not deserve the negative things I said about them. The company treated me with more patience and professionalism than I showed in return, and the work they do—carpet cleaning, rug washing, and restoration—is honest and of high quality. I've also faced the legal consequences of what I did. I was sued for defamation for $50,000 because of the damage my false reviews caused. That was a wake-up call, but one I needed. Duke Brothers did a fantastic job cleaning our Asian rug. It was previously located in our family room and needed a thorough cleaning. The fringe was damaged so badly from errant vacuuming that I opted for removal. Duke Brothers sealed the ends so professionally, it looks as if it was made that way. We'll use Duke Brothers for all of our Asian rug needs. Great company, great people!
