They welcome walk-ins and appointments are not necessary. Customers consistently leave happy with their hair. The salon has a welcoming Christian atmosphere and visits are typically brief.
So Ella did my boho braids and I gotta say she definitely delivered! I was skeptical about getting braids because of the thin texture of my hair from wearing braids by Africans Stylists ,however i decided to book with her and I must say she did an amazing job she was very gentle and did not pull my brains out and these were the lightest braids I’ve ever worn by any African braid stylist in my life hands down she’s the goat for those two reasons alone, Buttttt I also must say I feel like she told me my braids would be waist length for 250.00 and they definitely were not and fell short of falling on my waist but were above my waist ,the next time I will definitely...read full review
I had a great experience at Ella’s hair braiding. Ms.Ella and the other stylist are always welcoming and professional. Anytime I need my hair done she is very accommodating. If you call ahead there is always a chair available with little to no wait. Ella prices are fair and one of the more affordable places in Newport News. Thanks again! Ella’s African Hair Braiding is worth visiting.
Ella & FAMILY were amazing. I called and asked for a Bob at 7pm all the way from North Carolina. Ella said “come early”. I was there at 7:55am the next morning. Ms. Ella the BOB is lovely. Thank you ladies very much. 💜
