this company installed a gas hot water heater/ heating systems for us incorrectly years ago and despite them coming each year to address lack of hot water and heat they never properly serviced it bc it COULD NOT be as it was installed incorrectly (unbeknownst to us). they gaslighted (no pun intended) us that the gas smell was normal and safe. we spent thousands in "repairs" and went weeks w out hot water over the years . we did not know about the install until we called another company bc Country once again said they could not come out to fix hot water for 4 days. thank God we did- discovered system which is less than 10 yrs old probably has less than 2 yrs bc of corrosion from incorrect install - they also repaired gas smell! do not trust this company like we did for years.

After years of spending $1000s on repairs to a hot water heater system Country Heating & Cooling installed, we were still experiencing same issues (heat / hot water going out) and smell of gas, we called another company (we had no hot water or heat and Country H&C said they couldn’t come for 4 days) - to discover the system was never installed properly so could never be properly serviced (also the genesis of gas smell). Because of resulting corrosion it will have to be replaced years earlier than normal system life. We just spend over $600 a few months ago for a part - they left us without hot water for almost two weeks. Be aware / beware before trusting your home to this company.Services: Heating system repair

I am so impressed with CH&C. My son turned me onto Josh and this business last winter, and I can't thank him enough. Everyone I've dealt with so far, has been polite, personable, very knowledgeable, and 100% professional. Watching the he two Techs that installed my outdoor HVAC unit work, Tone & Colin, I was pretty impressed with not only how they worked, and took whatever time it might take, to make sure everything was absolutely done correctly, but they were so willing to answer all of the (many) questions I asked. Like meeting new friends. And they gave me a very fair and reasonable price for the service they provided. They are now my go-to HVAC people. I'll be renewing my Service Contract with them this Fall. I know if a conversation about an HVAC issue ever comes up, these are people I'll be recommending. Thanks again guys.

Of course, our 18-year-old heat pump (which controls heating and air conditioning) died on a 90-plus degree day when we had a houseful of overnight guests. We called another company that we had used successfully in the past, and they came right out. Our choice was to try a fix that might or might not work for an estimated $800, or to replace the heat pump altogether for thousands more. Given the age of the unit and the fact that we've had problems with it numerous times over the past decade, we decided to replace the unit. We did some research on heat pumps, and found that there's a $2000 federal tax credit for certain Energy Star-rated models. We checked out models on the Energy Star website, as well as reported by Consumer Reports, read on-line reviews, and reached out to a HVAC friend in another state. With our newly acquired knowledge, we reached out to dealers of the short-listed models. Of course, we also expected a quote from the company that first diagnosed the problem with our existing unit. We ultimately communicated with six installers, and got written quotes from four. Surprisingly, we never got a quote from the original company even though they told us multiple times over a week that it would be coming. We are VERY pleased with our decision to go with Country Heating and Cooling. They offered a competitive price for an American Standard SEER18 heat pump, which gets excellent reviews and meets the requirements for a tax credit. They communicated well, both during the process of getting quotes and during the actual installation. They arrived when they said that they would, did an excellent installation, and cleaned up the work area when they were finished. The technicians were also very professional and polite. I am pleased to be now writing this review from a nicely air-conditioned room -- while supporting a local small business and reducing our household's carbon footprint.

Even after having our routine spring service last month, our AC unit stopped working last night during this terrible heat wave and we were unable to reach our usual HVAC company. After getting a recommendation from a friend, I decided to give County Heating & Cooling a call. Josh answered the phone immediately this morning and was at the house by 11:30 AM.
