I just had a delivery of shredded hardwood bark mulch to my tiny parking area carved out of a small South-side Richmond alley. I've had two other deliveries there from other companies, and nobody could get the load dumped on the tarp... lots of spillover onto the gravel and into the alley itself, which makes it difficult to move and clean up. And I didn't complain, because it's a really difficult place to dump. I accepted that this would be the norm. But Earl, from Mary Ann's Trucking, just now did an amazing job of placing the mulch squarely on the tarp. The man is an artist. Cheerful too. I used them to haul and spread gravel for a driveway in Petersburg. From my first contact with Shannon in their office who answered my questions during the weeks leading up to the job, until the scheduling and the actual delivery and spreading the gravel using the truck bed, I could not be more pleased. Quite a contrast from other companies I tried to contact who did not even take the time to return my call. Customer for life here!

Mary Ann's Trucking saved me money! After getting what we thought was a fairly reasonable quote for driveway gravel as part of a landscaping quote from another company, we decided not to do the landscaping an only do the gravel. The updated contract came back $200 more, and we were told we had been given a discount on the labor for the gravel due to the other work and now that we were only doing gravel it was going to be "regular price". I immediately searched for another company to get a quote- I'm so fortunate Mary Ann's Trucking was the first (and last) place I called. The quote for 14 tons of #57 gravel was still pretty significantly less... read full review
