Commonwealth Primary Care - Virginia Family Physicians is a medical practice that has received mixed reviews. Dr. Akauola, a physician at the practice, is praised for her excellent bedside manner, knowledge, and for providing multiple treatment options. The phlebotomists are also described as kind, gentle, and skilled. However, one patient had a negative experience with a Physician Assistant (PA) who dismissed their concerns about severe sleep deprivation, attributing it solely to anxiety. This patient felt they were not listened to and that the treatment provided was unhelpful and harmful. In contrast, another patient who had previously seen Dr. Neeley, is now seeing Dr. Todd Reynolds and is satisfied with the care they receive, describing the office staff and nurses as friendly and helpful.
My Primary doctor is Todd Reynolds, who is friendly, efficient, and kind. I've seen other providers too, of course, who I liked.
The support staff have all been mostly nice, in my encounters with them, over the past 30 years.

Amazing experience working with Dr. Mathew Reynolds! I needed a PCP right away and not only was he available the day after I called but he was also attentive, caring, and knowledgeable. I felt heard and understood. I then needed blood results sooner rather than later with explanation and the doctor made it a point to call me when results came in. Not a my chart conversation but respectful phone call with in depth thoughts on results. I will continue to go to this doctor. Very professional and cares about his patients!!!!
New to practice. My first appt was disappointing or would've provided five stars. Changed to Dr. Reynolds and appointment went better than expected (with exception of my test results). He was attentive and kind. When I referenced prior test results from other providers, he went thru the online information to review. He was thorough, spoke to me with seemingly genuine care and interest. I'm now glad I tried them even after seeing 'star' status.
