Great experience with all the crew at Piedmont. After a tree fell on our house we obtained estimates from 4 companies to replace our damaged cedar shake roof with metal. We chose Piedmont based on rave reviews from our neighbors who have Piedmont roofs ranging from 2 to 10 years old. And the estimate was quite competitive. Everyone was professional and helpful and they went out of their way to fit us into the schedule. They patiently answered all of our many questions and were unfailingly responsive and knowledgeable. We got bids from several companies a couple years ago. Not only was Piedmont the best price, but they came recommended by several of our neighbors. We were very happy with the quality of their work. We have had no issues (in fact it took care of our problem with squirrels getting in the attic through the old cedar shake shingles). Two years later a bird got into one of the roof vents for our furnace. The HVAC people cleaned it out but couldn’t get on the roof to see how it got in. I called Stephanie and she sent her guys out within days to fix the issue with the roof vent. She didn’t even charge us for the minor fix. Took them 6 months to start the job, I had to threaten to cancel before they would get started. Then took 3 weeks to complete the job. I'm still finding snips of metal and nails in my surrounding bushes, so clean-up was not so good. During roof removal, one of the workers put a foot thru my ceiling, (right above the Christmas tree) which was not reported to the boss, I had to bring it up and then make arrangements myself to have it fixed (and clean-up the mess myself). When I agreed to the roof price, no mention was made of replacing my skylights, which they insisted upon, and which I resisted, so they raised my skylights 4 inches higher above the roof, which looks... read full review
