“Bye Bye Lawn — Hello Looney Lagoon

Landtech Group of Virginia helped us turn a big idea into our own backyard swimming hole, and we could not be happier with how it turned out.

They first came out about a year before we actually signed, walked the site, took measurements and elevations, and helped us understand what might be possible. We weren’t ready to jump in (lol) just yet, so we asked questions, looked at references, checked out their work, met the team, and took our time thinking through the budget, grading, retaining walls, and where the pool would actually fit best and how might use it.

When we came back to LTG, they helped us turn our ideas into a realistic scope and timeline. Once we signed, they started on time and communicated consistently. We always knew who was coming, when they would be onsite, and what they were working on that day. Sure, things shifted here and there because construction is construction, but the communication made a huge difference.

With little ones running around, we really appreciated how respectful the crews were of our home, our space, and the surrounding area. That gave us a lot of comfort throughout the build.

We wanted a lagoon-style pool that felt more like a natural swimming hole than a standard backyard pool, and Rebecca and Jordan’s design, Randy’s field expertise, and the crews’ craftsmanship absolutely delivered. The final result turned out even better than the design (IMO). It fits the yard naturally, gives us the “Looney Lagoon” vibe we were hoping for, and has already changed how we use the space now and will likely in the future.

From the hardscaping, to the curvy pool shape, water fall, PebbleTec finish, and all the little field adjustments along the way, the attention to detail really shows. Randy, Rebecca, Jordan, and the LTG crews clearly care about their work and take pride in getting it right.

My advice if you’re considering a project like this: ask questions, be specific, look at their work, and think through how you’ll actually use the space, how you or who will care for it. Construction can bring surprises, weather delays, and the occasional curveball, but LTG kept us informed, stayed engaged, and delivered.
