Forest Health and Rehab is a 97-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation community located in Lynchburg, Virginia. Established in 1995, the facility is conveniently situated near Lynchburg General Hospital and is recently acquired by Saber Healthcare, a team committed to providing quality and compassionate care to its residents. Whether for short-term or long-term care, the facility aims to make residents feel at home with its outstanding care and warm, welcoming environment. The staff are described as attentive, genuinely caring, and professional, with Padishia in Admissions being particularly helpful and kind. Overall, Forest Health and Rehab is highly recommended as a top-notch facility with a 5-star community.
A few days ago I had to make the choice of what rehab facility would be best for my mom to go into following her surgery at LGH. After working in the healthcare field for 26 years, I’ve seen and heard many horror stories in most rehab/nursing homes in our area, which made me very anxious when deciding on the right one for my mom. After a lot of researching and asking around for recommendations, I chose Forest Health and Rehab. I definitely made the right decision!! I have been amazed at the care, concern, and compassion of the staff at this facility!! Every individual who works there has been so kind and considerate of what my mom’s needs are, and are truly genuine people who absolutely care about their patient’s health and wellbeing. Yvonne in admissions is amazing at her job, and her personality matches her beautiful smile. She went the extra mile to help my mom get into the facility, and I’m so happy she did!!
My husband was at Forest Health and Rehabilitation for two weeks in early March. The staff, both administrative and nursing, was knowledgeable, professional, caring, and kind. They facilitated transportation from and to the hospital. The on-site kidney dialysis was handled very well. In short, they took very good care of both my husband and me.
Look no further if you are looking for a facility for short term or long time care. The staff is very friendly and helpful, make you feel welcome there.. The nurses and CNA's are top notch and always willing to help anyway they can. Physical Therapy, Occupational therapy are the best. Everyone there are very hard workers. I am glad that the hospital recommended this facillity for my love one.
