Dr. Widmeyer’s staff are professional and pleasant. The moment I enter the office, they greet me with a smile and know me by name. Dr. Widmeyer was engaged during my first consultation when I explained my struggle with my hormones. He was thorough and assured me that I was not overreacting or overthinking when I expressed something was very wrong. DR. Widmeyer was confident and very professional, yet empathetic when we asked sensitive questions allowing him to better assess what may be occurring. Honestly, I was initially a bit disheartened when he said he would like do lab work to confirm his diagnosis and also encouraged me to speak to my OBGYN because that was not his expertise nor did he know my history in that area to ensure that she concurred with his preliminary diagnosis and potential treatment plan. I really wanted immediate gratification and relief. In hindsight, Dr. Widmeyer’s actions and encouragement for me to seek a second opinion from my OBGYN exemplifies his professionalism, thoroughness, and confidence. The second visit to discuss my lab results was mind-blowing! Dr. Widmeyer explained everything to me in way that I could comprehend and the treatment regimen that could rectify the significant hormonal imbalance I’d been struggling with for almost two years!! The HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) pellets I get inserted every twelve weeks has changed my life; physically and emotionally. I no longer endure brain fog, extreme fatigue, hot flashes, aching joints, inability to lose weight, mood shifts, and significant weight gain, etc!!!
