We ordered 40 tons of crushed concrete as a base material for our driveway.First, the positive:They were super easy to work with, courteous, and the pricing for the crushed concrete was transparent and fair. $12 a ton was pretty hard to pass up compared to the cost of gravel.Now, the negative:I didn’t have an opportunity to look at the product prior to ordering, and it was described as very similar to crusher run. However, when it was delivered, I was surprised to see that it was mostly sand. I’d say 60% sand/fines, 40% larger aggregate. This might be ideal for compaction in some scenarios, but in my case even after compacting, it turns to a sandy soup that gets picked… read full review
