It was a different experience. Targeted deep tissue massage on the area of contraction and a wider area around it. Not a fluff massage, not a fun massage, more like a therapeutic massage with specific goals and limited to the areas of concern.

I was midway through a business trip across the US, when I started to suffer with severe neck, arm and shoulder pain. A friend recommended that I visit Rob at Adapt Stretch & Bodywork to see if he could help. I was only in town for one night, but the 90 minute treatment from Rob offered immediate pain relief. Rob was not only able to identify the root cause of the problem, he also talked me through everything he was doing, which helped put my mind at ease. I have been seeing Rob at Adapt Stretch & Bodywork almost weekly for about six months now to help with pain in-between spine surgeries, and am beyond impressed. Starting with the intake, Rob took the time to listen to my problem areas and medical history, and used that to specialize my session, which he does for all clients. Each session after he asks for feedback on how you felt, and truly listens and adapts to your needs depending on how you are feeling that day. I have a rare spine injury and have seen no relief from PT, steroid injections, nerve blocks, etc., but seeing Rob has been the only reason I have been able to delay my next surgery and live somewhat comfortably....read full review
