I got an estimate to replace an aging gas furnace and to assess the need for a mini split for a bedroom that was consistently hotter than the rest of the house. After having the existing hvac, furnace, and some of the ductwork examined, we went with a full replacement of the hvac (also old) and furnace with a heat pump system. They also found that the main reason for the bedroom's temperature issue was due to having too many bends in the original flexhose installation resulting in poor airflow.
