Herndon is a great muni, the groundskeepers and greenskeepers are the best in the business, especially considering the amount this course gets played and their budgets.

The issue with this course is that it is fairly easy and can manipulate your handicap for the better. The tips are essentially the mens tees at any other golf course and there are maybe 3 challenging holes, and that might be generous.

If you are a beginner to intermediate, or play a couple times a year, highly recommend. But if you are a weekend warrior who likes to go and play more challenging courses, and bet with your buddies, I wouldn't make this your home... read full review

Course is always in great shape, and for the price it is tough to beat. Tee box renovation is finally done, and so it was nice to play the course as it normally plays. Walked 18 for $35 and did not see a single person on the course; can't beat that! I think the aeration scared a lot of people away, but the greens were still running true and fast. Although I think the $80 is a bit steep to pay for a peak tee time with a cart, this course is still a favorite of mine.

The general manager Mike was in a foul mood and feels that it is okay to not control his emotions and yell at people in a rage instead of just being civilized.
I have been going to this green since I was about 8 and I'm 33 now. The greens and driving range are in good condition. Cart trails are well kept. I like the food and the prices air fair. Generally clean, the parking lot has some trash but the grounds inside are picked up. Def a good place to tee up. Just try not to piss off Mike. He has a short fuse. Honestly if you do just ignore him, he is like that. Pay him no mind
