Nancy was my first bassoon teacher, and fostered my creativity and love for music in a way no other teacher has. Thanks to her, I felt I could pursue my dream of performing, leading me to play with orchestras like the National Symphony and Chicago Symphony

Blum Studio is fantastic. Nancy is working very calmly with my son. My son has ADD, and Nancy is so patient with him. The first teacher can make him understand the concept of music.

I took piano lessons with Nancy for years as a preteen/teenager and found her to be a fantastic teacher. She also gave lessons to my younger sister and mother. She did an excellent job at balancing high standards and expectations for me with patience and understanding of the ways that adolescents think and learn. Nancy also supported me as I took up the oboe, accompanying me for some of my state assessment performances. As a result of my musical training with Nancy, I am able to enjoy singing and performing as an adult.In addition to being a great instructor, Nancy is a caring, compassionate human and great friend to my family.
