Based on reviews, Sentara Rheumatology Specialists has a great group of providers. Dr. Persons cares and takes the time to listen. Dr. Maleki and staff are very professional and made patients feel comfortable. Dr. Maleki-Yazdi is very thorough, knowledgeable, and kind. Brooke Runion is absolutely amazing, always positive, and listens. Her nurses are great. The whole staff at Sentara provides a great experience. Patients recommend this practice, noting little waiting time and that everyone is super nice.

Dr. Maleki was wonderful and really listened to me. He reviewed my records with me and gave me the diagnosis and medication plan I had been needing for a long time to deal with my RA. He is very intelligent and knows all about the genetic variations that cause these autoimmune disorders. Working in healthcare myself, it was reassuring to finally find a rheumatologist I feel comfortable with and confident in!
