About Rockingham Family Physicians

Rockingham Family Physicians is a practice not owned by corporations. The staff has been very courteous and responsive as of late, and the doctors have been helpful and engaged. However, things have changed and not for the better from its trusted quality care of the past. Two of the better doctors have retired. Many of the original office staff and nurses have left or retired. It is a more money productivity oriented practice now, like much of medicine today, and is not the same.

One of the reviews is by one of the doctors' sons I believe so it may not be objective. 15 to 20 years ago the practice was great. Two of the better doctors there have retired in the past 12 or so years. Many of the original office staff and nurses have either left or retired- things have changed and not for the better. It is not the same and a more money productivity oriented practice now-like much of medicine today. Maybe they should bring those two doctors out of retirement and bring back RFP to what it used to be which was trusted quality care.

One of the few private doctor's offices left in the area. Without the restraints and quota requirements of companies bought by Sentara you can get a thorough exam that isn't 15 minutes or less.

Have been going there for many years and it's a great place, wonderful staff and services. I see Dr. Witman and he truly cares about his patients. They all care. The wait time isn't that bad!
