Harrisonburg Health and Rehab has taken care of multiple family members of mine after surgeries and during retirement and end of life care. The staff seem to really care about residents and everyone is incredibly kind.
When my grandma went on hospice there was one instance that really stands out where she was distraught and asking for a staff member, Jay. He works overnights and wasn't there when she was upset and asking for him. We couldnt redirect her, she was just fixated. (If you have ever dealt with someone who is nearing the end of their life, you know what this can be like.) The staff is friendly and helpful. I am horrible with names, but I feel that they are truly caring people. The facility has been clean on my visits, and the people I visit have no complaints
I visit my Mom twice a week. The food has gotten some better. The breakfast is usually cold though and she never eats it. Most of the staff are helpful and friendly especially her aid Crystal and Sammy who is at the front desk. Even though they passed inspection after a lot of work, the housekeeping could still be better. Sweeping the floor and cleaning the bathrooms more often would help.
