It's nice to post a positive contractor review for a change, finally. And boy, did Erwin and his team at Columbia Contracting earn it! Let's start at the beginning. We contacted Erwin for a quote to replace our roof, and he immediately set up a date and time to come to our house (within a couple of days of initial contact). He was very precise in his presentation of the materials to be used, and high-pressure sales tactics were never used. We agreed to the terms, and he was able to set up financing within minutes. He was able to schedule the work within a week of the initial meeting, which is simply fantastic. Once the job was scheduled, we immediately received emails and text messages from Columbia Contracting containing contract information, FAQs, and scheduling information. Erwin is so remarkably organized that he makes most other general contractors in his line of work appear completely unprepared. Erwin and his team showed up the morning of the scheduled appointment exactly when he said they would. And yes, Erwin showed up to ensure everything got started correctly. His team went right to work and had the old roofing material removed by lunch and was already starting on the installation. The team was respectful and professional the entire time they were at our house. Once the work was completed that evening, they cleaned up the area so well that I struggled to find any trace that we just had all this work completed. My wife has huge flower beds in the front of our house, and not one plant or flower was permanently damaged from the work. Once the work was completed, Erwin set up an appointment for the next day to do a quality inspection and answer any questions. Once again, Erwin showed up exactly when he said he would and walked the entire area, removed excess materials, and took drone footage that was provided to us later that afternoon. We got a bit of a bonus as Erwin's lovely daughter was with him, and our dogs simply fell in love with her! After seeing the quality of execution from Erwin and his team, we've contracted him to do a bit more work around the house for us. I would recommend Columbia Contracting to anyone who needs quality work at a fair price with outstanding project management and communication!
I have been working with Columbia Contracting for a couple of years now, you should give them a try too. They put siding on my garage and shed. I found them to be on time, professional in their workmanship, and reasonably priced. Definitely worth giving them a call!!!
