I reached out to them very last minute because my parents are elderly, and keeping up with cleaning their apartment has become difficult. My dad is bedbound and in a hospital bed in their living room, and my mom is his primary caregiver. Her days revolve around caring for him, and cleaning an entire apartment is simply not something she has the strength or time to take on anymore.
I contacted Spiffy Cleaners over the weekend, and Mr. Christian was kind enough to accommodate us and have Miss LaTricia there first thing Monday morning. From my very first conversation with him, he was personable, kind, responsive, and incredibly fair. There was no feeling of being taken advantage of because we needed help last minute. Just an honest person running an honest business, and that is becoming harder and harder to find.
Miss LaTricia was just as wonderful. She arrived on time, which alone says so much about the respect they have for other people’s time. But what meant even more to me was how respectful she was of my parents and their situation. My dad’s hospital bed is in the living room, and my mom needed to remain nearby to care for him while she worked. Miss LaTricia came into their apartment with such consideration and simply worked around them without ever making them feel like they were in the way in their own home.
And when she was finished, the apartment was sparkling clean. She left no stone unturned. You could tell this wasn’t someone just trying to get through a job and leave. She genuinely took pride in her work.
As their daughter, there is a certain peace that comes with knowing my parents were treated with kindness and dignity when I couldn’t physically be there to help them myself. That meant just as much to me as having their apartment cleaned.
