I had such an amazing first session with Joanna and I'm really excited to go for my second session next week. I'd been having a lot of back/neck pain and stiffness and I'd tried everything from massage to posture correction to new pillows to way too much Tylenol and nothing was working. I finally decided to try acupuncture after comments from my friends. Joanna started with a very thorough assessment of my health and an in depth explanation of Chinese medicine and the acupuncture process. We started with massage and then went into cupping. Cupping is pretty painful but I felt extremely relaxed afterwards and I felt that much of my stiffness had gone away already. Then we started the acupuncture. I didn't really feel the needles go in except in my legs but it wasn't painful at all. Then she put an infrared light over my back to warm everything and I swear I fell asleep on the table! It was so comfortable and I forgot the needles were in my back. Finally we finished with a neck/head massage. The price is really reasonable especially considering how much I've spent on trying to get relief up to this point. I am really excited for my next appointment and I'm so happy to be going to Dr. Joanna!
Joanna is fantastic! I was a little hesitant to even try acupuncture a few years ago, but I'm so glad I did. Joanna has helped with my problem spots and even induced my baby when nothing else was working to get her out.
I have been going to Dr. Joanna for several months now and have noticed a big improvement in my well being. I had been getting terrible cramps in my neck, which have subsided along with a lot of tension in my shoulders. An added benefit is that I am not always cold like I have been for 50+ years. I get the cupping, acupuncture and acupressure combo. Her assistant, Amy, is very good also.
